To compliment the positioning of the War Memorial the Friends have worked with the Council’s landscape architect to design and install a decorative path. Raising the funds through making application to various funding pots.
We have had the war memorial positioned in the oldest part of the cemetery close to the foundation’s of the old lodge in the southern half of the cemetery.
When complete the Commonwealth War Graves Commission are expected to have North Cemetery returned to a war grave Cemetery. Once completed it is proposed to hold a dedication event.
