Burial Plot Purchase: July 1890 by Margaret Smurthwaite. No Address

 

Headstone: A partial headstone still exists, but removed. It now lines the front of a crypt along the main upper path with many others, embedded in the tarmac

 

Position along the path: Right 80

 

Inscription is Lead Lettering worn & reads: In loving remembrance of John Smurthwaite who entered into rest July 10th 1890 aged 73 years. Also of Margaret relict of the above died July 18th 1894 aged 76 years “Thy will be done” also Margaret daughter of the above born Jan 3rd 1850 entered into rest March 6th 1919 “Blessed are the pure in heart for they shall———- and of John——-youngest son—(June 1912)
